On September 26, trilateral negotiations between the Nuclear Societies of Russia, Kazakhstan and Mongolia took place within the framework of the International Atomic Energy Forum “WAW” (World Atomic Week). The meeting was devoted to the development of cooperation in the field of peaceful atom and the implementation of joint projects.

The meeting participants discussed specific areas for partnership, including the exchange of experience, the organization of joint scientific conferences and educational programs. Special attention was paid to the support of the newly established Nuclear Society of Mongolia, which began its work this summer with the active consulting support of Russian colleagues.
«The establishment of the Nuclear Society in Mongolia is an important step in the development of the national expert community in the field of atomic science and technology. We are glad that our experience proved to be in demand», — said Evgeny Sidorov, Executive Director of the Nuclear Society of Russia.
Colleagues from Kazakhstan, who have significant experience in the development of nuclear energy and popular science, also expressed their willingness to work with Mongolian partners. In particular, the parties agreed to cooperate in the field of popularization of science, career guidance for young people and raising public awareness about modern nuclear technologies.
«We have competencies in the field of popular science and are ready to share our best practices. Our common goal is to contribute to the development of human and scientific potential in the region», — said Seit Aliyev, a representative of the Kazakh delegation and director of the Information Center for Atomic Technologies at the Nuclear Society of Kazakhstan.
The parties agreed to form a working group to work out the details of joint initiatives and scheduled to hold the next meeting in 2025 to summarize the first results of cooperation.
