A scientist, Alexey Sergeevich Dikov, Head of the Applied and Theoretical Materials Science Laboratory of the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, came to a meeting with students of the graduating classes of the Municipal State Institution “Secondary School #7” at the invitation of the Youth Branch of the Nuclear Society of Kazakhstan. Alexey told about his work, about research of properties of titanium nickelide* and even about his studies and recent defense of his PhD dissertation.

The students of the graduating classes asked questions about the WWR-K research reactor, remembered the first-ever industrial fast reactor BN-350 in Aktau (now being decommissioned), and the need to build new nuclear power plants in OUR Kazakhstan.

WE presented the participants of the meeting and the school with souvenirs and popular science literature from the Nuclear Society of Kazakhstan, the network of Information Centers on Nuclear Technologies and Rosatom State Corporation.
