On July 14, Shymkent hosted an expanded townhall dedicated to the 25th anniversary of NAC Kazatomprom JSC, which was attended by Chairman of VNSEI Ibraev B.M. In his speech he congratulated the Company on its anniversary on behalf of veterans of nuclear science, energy and industry.

«25 years is both a large and a small term. It is small compared to the nuclear industry itself, and large for the company's development. For the company, we very quickly became the leading company in the world – this is primarily the merit of those who worked in this industry, today's veterans – and I was lucky enough to be among them.

Our veterans not only work and pass on their experience, but also learn what we do not have. Unfortunately, sometimes veterans are more in demand on the foreign labor market. Today there is a situation that there are no representatives of the main specialties in the head company. I remember that in the old years, every quarter the commission from the head office went to the uranium mining sites and accepted mining preparatory work, then making the appropriate conclusions. And it was both an exam and a school for the mines. I propose to involve veterans in this and other work to upgrade the skills of employees and improve the overall quality of all Company activities.

Yes, today we are leaders. But look how quickly they are catching up with us, and even overtaking us, using our own methods in other areas of solid mineral resources extraction – in the field of extraction of gold, copper, nickel, rare earth elements and others. Almost instantly, without making any money, it is possible to significantly raise the capitalization of the NAC, only by announcing that we are going to move from a national to a transnational company. This is especially relevant now, when there is a boom in nuclear energy and the demand for natural uranium is increasing. Because the world understands that the NAC uses all its competencies in order to extract uranium most cheaply, and this is very important to investors.

I wish great success to the Company, health to the employees and their families, as well as healthy spirit and courage to the Company itself!

Happy anniversary, Kazatomprom!»
