On December 4, 2020, the annual XVI Youth Seminar "Nuclear Potential of Kazakhstan" took place, which was held online. The seminar was dedicated to the problems of atomic energy and nuclear physics, radioecology and geophysics, uranium mining industry, nuclear fuel production, legal, macroeconomic and educational aspects in the nuclear industry, marketing and strategic development of the nuclear industry. The organizer of this seminar is the "Nuclear Society of Kazakhstan".
The seminar was attended by young specialists of enterprises of nuclear science and industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, such as “NAC Kazatomprom” JSC, “Ulba Metallurgical Plant” JSC, “ORTALYK Mining Enterprise” LLP, JV “KATCO” LLP, “Kazatomprom SaUran” LLP, branch "Stepnoe RU", LLP "SKZ-U", "Institute of Atomic Energy" NNC RK, RSE "Institute of Nuclear Physics", LLP "RU-6" and al-Farabi KazNU.
The participants of the seminar presented reports on the work done, showed the results, told what difficulties they faced in the process of carrying out their research, shared the acquired knowledge and experience.
Also, this year the seminar was attended by an invited guest - Kupriyanova Irina Aleksandrovna, leading engineer of the FSНEM "SPA"TYPHOON". Irina Aleksandrovna noted the good level of the participants' work and delivered a lecture “How to turn nuclear knowledge into experience”.
As a result of the seminar, a collection of works of the same name will be published.
