Summer school “Young Physicist” has started on June 18, becoming an annually holding event, and finished with delivery of certificates and winners awarding ceremony. This year it was participated by 50 pupils from 9-10 forms of Kurchatov public schools.
Summer school program 2018 included a large course of lectures and practical exercises given in the National Nuclear Center of RK and Park of Nuclear Technologies.
Excursions to the NNC and STS museums were organized, as well as to bench complex “EAGLE” and Kazakhstani Material Testing Tokamak KTM. In the laboratories of the Institute of Radiation Safety and Ecology pupils participated with great interest in practical exercises on radionuclides content determination in human organism, studied “mutation” process in living bodies.
Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of NNC RK also actively participated in summer school preparation and organized competition to define the most curious and erudite pupils.
