On 13-15 September, 2016 RSE INP has been visited by the delegation from Vietnam: Vice-President of Vietnam Atomic Energy Institute (VINATOM) Nguyen Nhi Dien, Director of Reactor Center Le Vinh Vinh, and Nguyen Kien Cuong – Head of the Department of the Dalat Nuclear Research Institute (DNRI).

The representatives of the Vietnam have provided the presentation about VINATOM and DNRI activities, informed about intention of the Vietnam government to establish a new research reactor of Russian design.

At the meeting the participants discussed the issues of interactions and cooperation development in the field of operation of the research reactor WWR-K and the Critical Assembly, production of radioisotopes and radiopharmaceuticals, exchange of experience on WWR-K conversion, calculation and experimental studies of nuclear-physical parameters of the reactor and the Critical Assembly, the use of experimental capacities of WWR-K research reactor and Critical Assembly for joint research. Within the technical tour the delegation members have visited the WWR-K reactor, the Unit of radiopharmaceuticals production in the Center of Nuclear Medicine and Biophysics.

As the results of DNRI delegation visit the Memorandum of cooperation has been signed.
