In the framework of cooperative Kazakhstan-Japan research program EAGLE-3, National Nuclear Center held 10th technical meeting with specialists of Japan Atomic Energy Agency.

The program is aimed at justification of sodium-cooled fast reactor safety, in particular, to study processes of fuel melt movement in reactor as well as melt interaction with coolant and structure materials.

At the meeting participants discussed preparation and conduct of out-of-pile and in-pile experiments. Kazakhstan side presented results of experiments that had been already completed at EAGLE facility and IGR reactor.

Japanese side expressed appreciation of the efforts made and achieved results.
