The relevance of using alternative and renewable energy sources is increasing in the world from year to year.

According to the World Energy Association, global CO2 emissions increased by 0.9% in 2022, reaching a new historical high of 36.8 billion tons. The largest increase in emissions was recorded in the electricity and heat production industry, where emissions increased by 1.8%, reaching a historical maximum of 14.7 billion tons. It is obvious that without significant structural changes in the global energy sector, the problem of greenhouse gas emissions will only increase.

The Republic of Kazakhstan has consistently implemented a balanced policy aimed at achieving carbon neutrality by 2060. The corresponding Strategy was approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev. The active development of alternative and renewable energy sources plays an important role in this issue.
