NUCLEAR POWER: APPROACHES TO DEVELOPMENT IN THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN

December 8, a seminar for the expert community «ATOMIC POWER: APPROACHES TO DEVELOPMENT IN THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN» was held in Nur-Sultan, organized by the Association «Nuclear Society of Kazakhstan» with the support of the Information Center for Atomic Technologies (ICAТ Nur-Sultan).

Director of the Nuclear Society of Kazakhstan, Togzhan Seifullina, in her welcoming speech announced the main directions of the seminar:

• Nuclear industry: achievements and ways of development in the world and in Kazakhstan.
• Nuclear power plants: modern technologies and safety.
• Nuclear power plants and the energy system of Kazakhstan.

and presented eminent speakers:

• Aleksandr Haidarovich Klepikov, Deputy Director of Nuclear Technology Safety Center;
• Timur Miftakhovich Zhantikin, General Director of Kazakhstan Nuclear Power Plants LLP;
• Peter Vladimirovich Svoyik, public figure, power engineer.
